Airtel leads June wireless adds, narrowing the gap with Jio
Airtel added 2.99 million wireless subscribers in June, ahead of Jio’s 2.15 million, according to TRAI data. Jio remains the largest operator with 503.58 million subscribers and a 39.27% wireless share, while Airtel reached 486.8 million and 37.96%.
Airtel led reported wireless subscriber additions in June, though Jio led excluding lower-ARPU M2M connections. Jio retained the largest subscriber base and led 5G FWA additions, while Airtel gained market share and Vodafone Idea's share declined.
