NPCI lifts UPI cap to ₹2 lakh in Europe, widens global acceptance to eight more countries
NPCI has set UPI's per-day and per-transaction limit at ₹2 lakh across Europe while extending acceptance to eight additional countries. The move strengthens cross-border rails for Indian merchants and lifts ceilings relevant to travel, jewellery and credit card retail categories already operating at ₹5–10 lakh domestically.
NPCI raised UPI Global Acceptance per-transaction and per-day limit to ₹2 lakh in Europe and added eight more countries, expanding cross-border payment rails relevant to Indian merchants and travel/jewellery/credit card retail categories.
