BigBasket is widening its India offline footprint through self-service and large-format stores to complement online grocery, improve engagement and reach. Tata-owned BigBasket raised $200 million in December 2022 and is considering an IPO by 2025 amid competition from Amazon, Reliance and Flipkart.

Why this matters

The move extends BigBasket's January 2023 offline grocery push, which resurfaced in two recent signals, while another update reported it narrowed to 40 cities as FY26 loss widened 66% to ₹3,073 crore.
