Joshi Orders CCPA Probe Into MakeMyTrip, Goibibo, Agoda Over Excess Cancellation Fees
Consumer Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi has directed the CCPA to investigate online ticket booking platforms including MakeMyTrip, Goibibo and Agoda for charging cancellation fees well beyond actual airline charges, citing cases where users paid Rs 4,764 against Rs 1,571 levied by carriers. Action is warned under the Consumer Protection Act for unfair trade practices.
