Haleon commits £175M to first India plant, betting Pithampur becomes oral-care export hub
Sensodyne-maker Haleon will sink ₹2,000 crore into a Pithampur facility over 2-3 years, slashing import reliance as India climbs into its top 3-4 global markets. The bet rides on a GST cut from 18% to 5% and a target of 300 million consumers by 2030, squaring up against Colgate, Dabur and HUL.
Haleon will invest £175 million (₹2,000 crore) to build its first India oral health manufacturing plant in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh, reducing import reliance and targeting India as a top three to four global market.
