Dabur, HUL follow Colgate with toothpaste price hikes as input costs squeeze FMCG margins
Dabur has raised toothpaste prices ~4.4% and HUL by 2-3%, mirroring Colgate's 4-5% hike, as rising raw material, packaging and transport costs pressure oral care margins. Dabur Red 200g now retails at Rs 141, Pepsodent 200g at Rs 135, and Closeup 150g at Rs 132. Toothpaste contributes 18-19% of Dabur's domestic revenue versus 2% for HUL.
