Uber challenges Karnataka’s gig-worker welfare law in High Court

Uber challenged Karnataka’s gig workers welfare law in the High Court, joining other platforms protected from coercive action. The case contests overlapping central and state social-security regimes and a 1% transaction-linked welfare fee that could raise delivery and ride-hailing compliance costs.
