Thangamayil shares fall 10% despite 71% Q1 revenue growth
Thangamayil Jewellery posted Q1 FY27 revenue of Rs 2,666.38 crore and net profit of Rs 85.09 crore, up 71.16% and 86.15% year on year. Shares fell 10% after sequential revenue and profit declined, amid higher gold duty, rupee weakness and softer remittances.
Thangamayil Jewellery reported strong year-on-year Q1 FY27 profit and revenue growth, but shares fell 10% as sequential sales and profit weakened. The retailer cited higher gold import duty, rupee depreciation, West Asia conflict and weaker expatriate remittances affecting gold demand.
