Sun Pharma Q1 profit rises 27% as India formulations sales grow 16%
Sun Pharma posted Q1 net profit of ₹2,895 crore on revenue of ₹15,300 crore. India formulations sales rose 16% to ₹5,475 crore, lifting domestic market share to 8.5%, while US formulations revenue declined 9.7%.
Sun Pharma reported 27% YoY quarterly profit growth, powered by 16% growth in India formulations sales. The company launched five domestic products, raised India market share to 8.5%, and expects its Organon acquisition to close in early 2027.
Why this matters
The earnings follow Sun Pharma's Brazil approval for semaglutide and planned Hypera-led launch, while its $11.8B Organon deal helped lift pharma M&A value despite lower deal volume.
