LSE Economist Silvana Tenreyro Named IMF Chief Economist, Starting Aug. 10

The London School of Economics professor and former Bank of England MPC member will become the Fund's Economic Counsellor and Research Department Director, succeeding to one of global finance's most influential analytical roles.
