Meta in talks to back CRED at $4 Bn valuation, eyeing India UPI play
Meta is reportedly negotiating an investment or acquisition of CRED at a $4 Bn valuation, down from $6.4 Bn in 2022 but above its $3.5 Bn 2025 mark. The deal would deepen Meta's India payments push against PhonePe and Google Pay, leveraging WhatsApp's reach across UPI's 157 Cr+ monthly transactions.
