Maharashtra to levy Rs 5 daily fee, 2% welfare charge on bike taxis from Aug 1
Maharashtra will impose a Rs 5 daily fee and 2% welfare levy on bike taxi aggregators Rapido, Ola and Uber from August 1, adding domicile, Marathi-language and licensing conditions. The interim rules apply to an estimated 4-4.5 lakh bike taxis until the state's electric bike taxi policy takes effect.
