Indian Railways to launch online luggage booking for reserved-train passengers
From July 31, 2026, confirmed-ticket passengers will be able to book personal luggage online for reserved compartments. Existing class-wise free allowances—from 35 kg in Second Class to 70 kg in First AC—and excess-luggage charges will continue.
