Effective July 15, India will permit 3.78 lakh UK passenger car imports at concessional duty dropping from 110% to 10%, ramping from 20,000 units in year one to 37,000 at peak. Sub-GBP 40,000 mass-market EV segment stays protected, shielding Tata, Mahindra, and Maruti while creating reciprocal UK access for Indian EVs.
