India PV wholesales hit record 4.39 lakh units in May 2026, up 27.3% on GST cuts
SIAM data shows passenger vehicle dispatches from automakers to dealers surged to an all-time high of 4,38,854 units in May 2026, aided by GST cuts and easier financing. UVs rose 24.8% to 2.46 lakh, passenger cars climbed 28.8%, two-wheelers grew 14.8% to 19.02 lakh, and total wholesales advanced 16.8% to 23.53 lakh.
