India’s EV registrations reached about 3.3 lakh in July, led by record electric two-wheeler volumes above 2 lakh. TVS Motor retained leadership, followed by Bajaj, while Tata Motors led electric passenger vehicles despite a slight category decline from June.

Why this matters

The July lead extends TVS Motor’s recent EV pattern: it widened its e-two-wheeler lead as Ola and Ather declined, led July registrations, and gained share despite a 1.7% month-on-month market dip.

Retail-company signals are accelerating, up 228183% quarter on quarter.
