Honda to localise more premium 125cc+ motorcycles at Indian factories as demand climbs
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India plans to shift more premium model production to domestic plants, backed by a ₹2,000 crore investment adding 1.2 million units of capacity to reach 6.2 million total. The premium segment is projected to grow 15% to 3.5 million units in FY26, even as Honda plays catch-up in EVs against TVS, Bajaj and Hero.
