Home-cooked thali costs up 5% YoY in June as tomato, onion and LPG prices climb
Crisil's June thali index shows veg meal cost rising 5% YoY to Rs 28.4 and non-veg 6% to Rs 58.2, driven by tomato (+31% to Rs 42/kg), veg oil (+10%), LPG (+10%), onion (+2%) and broiler (+7%), partly cushioned by cheaper potatoes (-14%). Rainfall ran 17% below LPA.
