Grasim commits ₹3,094 cr to triple Lyocell capacity at Harihar by 2030
Aditya Birla Group's Grasim Industries will add 110K TPA of Lyocell fibre across two lines at its Karnataka site, commissioning in 2028 and 2030. The move lifts total Lyocell capacity to ~210K TPA and pushes cellulosic fibre output past 1 million TPA, deepening its bet on sustainable apparel inputs.
Grasim will invest ₹3,094 crore to expand Lyocell fibre capacity at Harihar, Karnataka by 110K TPA across two lines (commissioning 2028, 2030), taking total Lyocell capacity to ~210K TPA and overall cellulosic fibres beyond 1 million TPA.
