Gold's 7.5% slide from peak primes wedding-season jewellery rebound in Tier 2/3 India
Gold dropped 1.51% to Rs 1,48,484/10g — sharpest fall since May's duty hike — and silver slid 18% from highs to Rs 2.36 lakh/kg. Jewellers led by IBJA and D P Abhushan expect demand revival from June 16 as Adhik Maas ends, with lighter, lower-carat pieces gaining share in Tier 2/3 cities that drive 60% of India's 800-850 tonne annual demand.
