Godrej Agrovet, Patanjali Foods and 3F Oil Palm are expanding plantations under India’s edible-oil mission. Rising domestic crude palm oil output could curb costly imports, while Godrej Agrovet targets 0.14-0.15 million hectares of cultivation within four to five years.

Why this matters

The target extends Godrej Agrovet’s recent 1.4 lakh-hectare oil-palm goal and follows its crop and geographic diversification pivot. It also aligns with the CEO’s view of agritech entering daily farm decisions.
