GMR’s Bhogapuram airport targets 6 million annual passengers within five years
GMR expects Alluri Sita Ramaraju International Airport in Bhogapuram to reach its initial 6 million-passenger capacity in four to five years after commercial operations begin on August 17. The airport’s cargo, cold-chain, Aerocity and aviation-hub plans create a longer-term travel-retail and regional consumption signal for the Visakhapatnam corridor.
GMR expects Bhogapuram’s new airport to reach six million annual passengers within four to five years, supported by Visakhapatnam-region growth. The facility includes cargo and cold-chain infrastructure, an Aerocity and future expansion capacity of 40 million passengers.
