Counterfeit silver bars flood Indian markets; refiners push BIS for mandatory hallmarking

Refiners want BIS to enforce mandatory silver hallmarking and refiner licensing by Sept 2025; MCX, BSE and NSE plan quality-certified silver bars on exchanges.
