Commercial LPG cut by over ₹200 in Delhi and Kolkata, easing food-service costs
From August 1, 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder prices fell ₹202 in Delhi and ₹209 in Kolkata, marking a second straight monthly reduction. The Kolkata rate is now ₹2,872.50, while 14.2-kg domestic LPG prices are unchanged.
Commercial 19-kg LPG cylinder prices were cut by up to Rs 209 from August 1, lowering operating costs for restaurants, hotels and other Indian businesses. Domestic 14.2-kg LPG rates remain unchanged.
Why this matters
Commercial LPG’s second consecutive monthly cut follows recent signals of over-₹200 reductions in Delhi and Kolkata and nationwide supply normalisation, when Delhi’s 19-kg cylinder held at ₹3,113.50.
