Centre's Rs 411 cr Mission Senehjori targets Assam Muga silk revival, 2.5 lakh weavers
A 3-year (2026-2028) push backs the GI-tagged Muga silk value chain with five reeling units and a spun silk facility across Jorhat, Sivasagar, Sualkuchi and Majuli. DoNER, Assam government, Textiles Ministry and APEDA aim to scale exports and modernise weaver livelihoods.
