Burj Khalifa’s At the Top opens UPI ticket payments for Indian visitors
Emaar Entertainment, Neopay and NPCI have enabled UPI payments for Burj Khalifa’s At the Top tickets, allowing Indian travellers to book using apps including PhonePe and Google Pay before arriving in Dubai.
Burj Khalifa’s At the Top became Dubai’s first attraction to accept UPI ticket payments from India, through Neopay, Emaar Entertainment and NPCI. Indian visitors can book before travelling using UPI apps including PhonePe and Google Pay.
Why this matters
The ticket rollout extends NPCI's UPI distribution push, following its work on offline UPI tap-and-pay at retail PoS terminals and the proposed UPI Meta checkout framework. NPCI has also asked UPI apps to mask phone and account details.
