BMW plans to double MINI India sales by end-2026 via Chennai assembly, Tier-2 push
MINI will be locally assembled at BMW's Chennai plant (Countryman ICE), with 10 new launches and retail entry into 10 Tier-2 cities including Jaipur, Jodhpur, Lucknow, Surat and Vijayawada — co-located inside BMW dealerships. MINI sold 730 units in 2025 (+3% YoY); Q1 2026 already +42% to 213 units.
