Bajaj Auto pressures Maharashtra on ₹60-70 cr EV dues, scouts Tamil Nadu and Karnataka for next plant
With ₹2,000 crore already deployed in Maharashtra and subsidy eligibility certificates still pending, Bajaj Auto is openly evaluating Tamil Nadu and Karnataka for its next electric and ICE two- and three-wheeler facility. A ₹300 crore EV plant with 500,000-unit capacity is in play.
Bajaj Auto is pressing Maharashtra for pending EV subsidy dues of ₹60-70 crore and eligibility certificates on ₹2,000 crore investments, while scouting Tamil Nadu and Karnataka for new electric and ICE two/three-wheeler plants.
