Bain Capital is leading talks to acquire a controlling stake in Indian consumerware maker Cello World from its promoter family in a deal valued above ₹3,000 crore. Cello operates 13 plants, reaches 50,000 retail touchpoints and reported FY26 revenue of ₹2,379 crore.

The talks emerge as Cello World pursues its Wim Plast absorption, while Investec recently retained a Sell rating and cut its ₹435 target despite a Q4 EBITDA beat.
