Ashok Leyland plans up to ₹1,000 crore FY27 investment in EVs, batteries and alternate fuels
The commercial-vehicle maker will scale battery-pack manufacturing in Tamil Nadu, EV platforms and alternate-fuel technologies, while testing battery-as-a-service, swapping and megawatt charging. Its Switch Mobility India EV business reported FY26 revenue of ₹1,807 crore and PAT of ₹104 crore.
