Amazon India admits quick commerce lag, scales Amazon Now to 100 cities with 1,000+ micro-fulfilment centres
Amazon India head concedes the company was slow off the gate as Blinkit (47%), Zepto (24%) and Instamart (22%) capture the segment. Amazon Now is now opening 2-3 micro-fulfilment centres daily, targeting 1,000+ sites across 100 cities in 2025 to claw back share in a category nearing 25-30% of e-commerce GMV.
