Alt-fuel cars cross 40% of India retail sales for first time in June
FADA data shows alternative-fuel passenger vehicles (CNG, hybrid, EV) hit 40.2% of retail car sales in June, up from 33.3% a year ago, pushing petrol/diesel below 60%. Total PV retail hit a record 410,853 units, up 28.6% YoY, with rural demand up 35.1% and EVs at an all-time high of 31,823 units.
